Senior Therapeutic/Prevention Specialist (Raleigh, NC)
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management & Sales Strategy:
- Build strong relationships and engage healthcare providers across various touchpoints.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan; monitor sales progress and adjust strategies to meet/exceed targets.
- Product & Disease State Expertise:
- Maintain deep understanding of Gilead products, competitive products, and disease state complexities.
- Promote appropriate use of Gilead products in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Partner with local cross-functional colleagues to support access, acquisition, administration, and operational needs.
- Collaborate externally with healthcare organizations and partner companies (including co-promotion) to enhance reach and drive sales.
- Leadership & Compliance:
- Model and uphold compliance standards and ethical behavior.
- Adhere to regulatory, state, federal, and company policies; ensure timely reporting of adverse events to Drug Safety and Public Health.
- Customer Engagement & Reporting:
- Use influencing and relationship skills to drive sales outcomes; build long-term partnerships.
- Complete administrative tasks (call activity/customer info in systems, expenses, territory budget).
- Continuous learning of technical/scientific information and industry/therapeutic-area changes.

Basic Qualifications
- High school and 11 years’ experience OR Associate’s and 9 years’ OR Bachelor’s and 7 years’ OR Master’s and 5 years’.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned area.
- Ability to meet onsite visitation requirements for healthcare practitioners (e.g., vaccinations, drug/background screenings).
- Able to perform essential duties; reasonable accommodation may be made.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS degree.
- Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales experience.
- Superior selling skills in highly competitive markets; consistent track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Experience with account-focused cross-functional local teams.
- Experience selling injectable physician-administered products.
- Familiarity with the managed care landscape and its impact on business.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Salary range: $133,195.00–$172,370.00; may be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits including company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
