Position Summary
- Drive demand for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) medicines in assigned territory for appropriate patients by delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians/HCPs; liaise with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs in a timely, scientific manner.
- Field-based role; anticipated to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: promote approved indications to meet/exceed sales targets; create demand with clinical/scientific rationale; maintain product/therapeutic area expertise; execute territory/account plans; use CE^3 for insights/call planning.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: provide label-consistent, medically accurate scientific information; deliver in-office presentations; organize external speaker programs; stay current on emerging data; use Medical on Call for unsolicited questions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate with other field teams; share insights internally; comply with laws/regulations/policies.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharma/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Proven credibility-building with key customers; strong account management/selling; track record meeting/exceeding goals.
Preferred Qualification
- Oncology experience.
