Position Summary
- Drive demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines in an assigned territory by engaging HCPs with differentiated, label-consistent scientific dialogue.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs; field-based (100% time in the field with external customers).
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: Promote approved indications to meet/exceed assigned sales targets; create demand via balanced clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise; prepare and implement territory and account plans; use CE^3 (once implemented) to inform call plans and provide feedback.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Use approved resources/publications to present accurate information; conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch & learns); organize speaker programs; track emerging data; use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with other field teams; gather/share insights internally; comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Proven credibility-building with customers/office staff; customer-centric mindset.
- Hematology/Oncology experience required.
- Strong account management and sales performance; cross-functional effectiveness.
