Position Summary
- Field-based Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) driving demand for BMS medicines in an assigned territory by delivering differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper, label-consistent scientific dialogue. 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved indications compliantly to meet/exceed assigned sales targets.
- Create demand by communicating clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Maintain/grow scientific expertise across assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement territory/account plans.
- Use CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Conduct label-consistent scientific dialogue; ensure medical accuracy.
- Deliver in-office presentations; maintain expertise on emerging data.
- Organize external speaker programs (select speakers, coordinate scheduling/logistics).
- Provide real-time medical support via Medical on Call for unsolicited/technical inquiries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve HCP Cx and share insights internally; comply with all applicable laws/regulations/policies.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate clinical/scientific data accurately.
- Credibility-building experience with HCPs and office staff.
- Hematology/Oncology experience required.
- Strong account management/selling with proven performance meeting/exceeding goals.
- Cross-functional effectiveness and positive can-do mindset.
- Qualified Driver requirements (21+ years, valid in-good-standing license, acceptable risk level).
