Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience (MS) is a field-based role focused on driving demand and delivering a differentiated scientific engagement with Health Care Providers within a defined territory, with emphasis on Neurology indications and appropriate patient use of BMS medicines. The TAS builds credibility with RTLs and HCPs, collaborates across functions to optimize the Customer Experience, and spends 100% of time in the field with external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with the label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling/logistics with approved speakers.
  • Maintains working knowledge of emerging data for approved indications and provides real-time medical support when needed.
  • Collaborates across field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience and shares insights with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in Neurology is preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong selling/promotional skills with a proven performance history.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Operation of a Company-provided vehicle; driving eligibility as a condition of employment (e.g., 21+, valid license, acceptable driving risk).
