Position Summary
- Field-based Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) for Psychiatry. Spend ~100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved BMS indications in a defined territory to meet/exceed compliant sales targets.
- Create demand by explaining clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow deep scientific expertise across assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Develop and execute territory/account plans.
- Use CE^3 (where implemented) for insights and dynamic call planning; provide feedback to leadership.
- Deliver fair and balanced scientific dialogue: use approved resources, ensure medical accuracy, and conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch & learns) consistent with label.
- Organize external speaker programs (within approved Speakers Bureau process).
- Stay current on emerging data for approved indications.
- Provide real-time medical support via Medical on Call for unsolicited questions.
- Collaborate with other field teams; share insights internally.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications / Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to accurately communicate scientific/clinical data.
- Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset.
- Neurology experience preferred.
- Strong account management, selling/promotion skills, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, can-do attitude.
