Position Summary:
- Drive demand for BMS medicines for appropriate patients in Psychiatry as a field-based Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (100% time in the field).
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications in a defined territory to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by articulating clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise.
- Prepare and implement territory/account plans.
- Use CE^3 (if implemented) to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback to leadership.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Present approved scientific information accurately and consistent with label.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch & learns) and maintain expertise on emerging data.
- Organize external speaker programs (Speakers Bureau approved list) and facilitate scheduling/logistics.
- Use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with field teams; share insights internally with stakeholders.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharma/biotech healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Proven credibility-building with key customers and office staff.
- Experience in Neurology preferred.
- Strong account management/selling and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration; positive team/can-do attitude.
