Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TA: Psychiatry) — field-based; ~100% time in the field with external customers.
Position Summary:
Drive demand for BMS medicines within assigned portfolio for appropriate patients through scientific dialogue and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx), building credibility with regional thought leaders and community HCPs as primary point of contact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote approved indications to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by explaining clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Maintain/grow scientific expertise in assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Develop and execute territory/account plans.
- Use CE^3 (if implemented) to inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Conduct fair, balanced scientific dialogue using approved resources; ensure medical accuracy.
- Deliver in-office presentations and organize external speaker programs.
- Stay current on emerging data; provide real-time Medical on Call support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; share insights with stakeholders.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharma/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Proven credibility-building with customers and customer-centric mindset.
- Experience in Neurology preferred.
- Demonstrated account management, selling, and performance track record.
- Cross-functional effectiveness with can-do attitude.
