Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology - Knoxville, TN/Chattanooga, TN. The TAS is a field-based role focused on engaging Health Care Providers (HCPs) to drive adoption of BMS medicines, delivering a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue and up-to-date product knowledge. Territory includes Knoxville and Chattanooga; 100% of time in the field with external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts fair and balanced scientific dialogue with HCPs using approved resources; ensures medical accuracy.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics with approved speakers.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; provides real-time medical support as needed.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure optimal Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
  • Gathers and shares insights internally to enable better service to customers.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to clinicians.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to deliver differentiated Cx.
  • Experience in Hematology/Oncology required.
  • Strong account management skills, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications or trainings in hematology/oncology or pharmaceutical sales (preferred).

  • Must operate a company-provided vehicle; driving eligibility requirements apply (age 21+, valid state license, acceptable driving risk level).
