Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology - Denver, CO. The TAS is a field-based role that drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue and ensuring a high-quality Customer Experience (Cx) aligned with label guidance. The position focuses on oncology, hematology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease therapeutic areas, with 100% time in the field and responsibilities spanning portfolio promotion, scientific dialogue, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Leverages CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for tool improvements.
  • Delivers fair and balanced scientific dialogue through in-office presentations and discussions of product-related information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates logistics with approved speakers.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages real-time medical support to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to optimize the Customer Experience and shares insights with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and the ability to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance history.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or specialized training in oncology/hematology a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based role requiring travel within the territory; valid driver’s license and safe driving record may be prerequisites.
