Position Summary
- Drive demand for BMS medicines in the assigned territory for appropriate patients.
- Engage HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians/HCPs as the primary point of contact.
- Liaise with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner; prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products.
- Field-based role: spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved indications in a defined territory to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by explaining clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as CE^3 to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Use approved resources/publications to present accurate, label-consistent information.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch & learns).
- Organize external speaker programs (Speakers Bureau approved).
- Maintain working expertise on emerging approved-indication data.
- Use Medical on Call for real-time medical support for unsolicited questions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best Customer Experience.
- Share relevant insights internally with appropriate stakeholders.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly.
- Proven credibility-building with customers and desire to deliver differentiated Cx.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and sales track record.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Psychiatry.
