Position Summary
- Drive demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio for appropriate patients.
- Engage HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
- Serve as primary point of contact for regional thought leaders (RTLs), community physicians/HCPs, office staff, and other stakeholders across the patient care continuum.
- Liaise with other BMS functions to deliver a higher overall Customer Experience (Cx) by meeting HCP needs in a timely, scientific manner; prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products while focusing on business results and performance objectives.
- Field-based role; spend much of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory/region to meet/exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Create demand by articulating balanced clinical/scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow high-level scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as SOPHIA to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans.
- Provide feedback on tool usage to leadership for continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Use approved scientific resources/publications to present accurate, medically sound information consistent with label.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) with HCPs.
- Organize external speaker programs (select speakers from Speakers Bureau-approved lists; manage scheduling/logistics).
- Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engage real-time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gather and share insights internally with appropriate stakeholders.
Compliance
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly.
- Demonstrated experience building strong credibility with customers/office staff via a customer-centric mindset.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Account management capability, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and can-do attitude.
- Strong selling and promotional skills proven through performance.

Driving requirement
- Role requires operation of a company-provided vehicle; employment contingent on meeting Qualified Driver requirements (e.g., at least 21 years of age; valid driverβs license in good standing; acceptable driving risk level).
Compensation & Benefits (as explicitly stated)
- Field (United States): US $134,390 - $162,843 (full-time employee range). Additional incentive cash/stock may be available (based on eligibility).
