Position Summary
- Drive demand for BMS medicines within the assigned portfolio for appropriate patients by engaging Health Care Providers (HCPs) through a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx), deeper scientific dialogue, and label-consistent discussions (leveraging new ways of working and CE^3).
- Build and maintain strong credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs (private practice, medical groups, office staff, and other patient-care continuum stakeholders) as primary point of contact.
- Liaise with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs in a timely, scientific manner; prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products while focusing on business results and performance objectives.
- Field-based role; spend much of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory/region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by articulating the clinical/scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow high-level scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as SOPHIA to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans; provide feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Present approved scientific resources/publications to HCPs with medical accuracy.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss label-consistent product science.
- Organize external speaker programs (select approved speakers; coordinate scheduling/logistics).
- Stay current on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engage real-time medical support via Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gather and share insights internally with relevant stakeholders.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly.
- Demonstrated credibility-building with key customers and customer-influence network; customer-centric mindset.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Strong account management and selling competencies; proven sales performance (meeting/exceeding goals).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, can-do attitude.

- Must meet Qualified Driver requirements for a company-provided vehicle (e.g., at least 21 years old, valid driverβs license in good standing, acceptable driving risk level).
Compensation & Benefits (explicitly stated)
- Field (United States): $134,390β$162,843 (FTE range). Additional incentive cash/stock may be available (eligibility-based).
