Position Summary
- Drive demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio for appropriate patients.
- Engage HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs as primary point of contact.
- Liaise with other BMS functions to deliver a higher Customer Experience by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner; prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products and overall business results.
- Field-based role; spend much of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory/region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by articulating clinical/scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as SOPHIA to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans.
- Provide feedback to leadership on tool usage for continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Use approved scientific resources/publications to present accurate, medical information consistent with label.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) with HCPs.
- Organize external speaker programs (select approved speakers, facilitate scheduling/logistics).
- Stay current on emerging data for approved indications.
- Use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gather and share relevant insights internally with appropriate stakeholders.
Compliance
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience as healthcare sales/ML S/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers/office staff within a customer-centric mindset.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Strong account management capability, selling competencies, and proven record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, can-do attitude.
