Position Summary:
The Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) drives demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines in their portfolio for appropriate patients by engaging Health Care Providers (HCPs) through differentiated Customer Experience (Cx), deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, and tools such as CE^3. Field-based; expected to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory/region to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand using balanced clinical/scientific rationale; build and maintain scientific expertise.
- Prepare and implement territory and account plans; use CE^3 to inform call plans and provide feedback to leadership.
- Deliver fair and balanced scientific dialogue: use approved resources/publications, conduct in-office presentations, organize external speaker programs.
- Maintain expertise on emerging data; respond to unsolicited questions/technical inquiries via Medical on Call.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; gather/share insights with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate clinical/scientific data accurately.
- Proven credibility with customers and customer-centric mindset.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Account management skills; strong selling/promotional ability and track record meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, can-do attitude.
