Position Summary
The TAS (Therapeutic Area Specialist) drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients through differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) and deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label. Field-based; spends much of time with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: Promote approved indications to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly; create demand by explaining clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise; prepare and implement territory/account plans; use SOPHIA insights to inform call plans; provide tool usage feedback to leadership.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Use approved resources/publications accurately; conduct in-office presentations consistent with label; organize external speaker programs (Speakers Bureau-approved); maintain expertise on emerging data; use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited/technical questions.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with other field teams; share relevant insights internally.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharma/biotech experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate clinical/scientific data accurately to physicians.
- Proven credibility with key customers/HCP network; customer-centric Cx mindset.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and proven record meeting/exceeding goals.
- Effective cross-functional teamwork and positive can-do attitude.
