Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialty - Bronx, NY. Drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients through differentiated scientific dialogue with Health Care Providers, building credibility and delivering high-quality customer experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and implements territory and account plans.
  • Utilizes tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Engages in scientific dialogue and presents information to HCPs consistent with label; conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Maintains working expertise on emerging data for approved indications; supports real-time medical questions through Medical on Call.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs and shares insights internally.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
  • Demonstrated credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create positive Cx.
  • Experience in cardiovascular preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.

Skills

  • Account management, problem-solving, and tailoring engagement to the patient journey.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to connect with customers; proficiency with CE^3 and CRM tools.
  • Digital agility: using digital channels to communicate and plan engagements; comfort with Medical on Call technology.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based role requiring 100% time in the field with external customers.
  • Requires operation of a Company-provided vehicle; must meet Qualified Driver requirements (age, license, driving risk level).
