Position Summary
- Drive demand for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) medicines in assigned territory by delivering differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through scientific dialogue consistent with label.
- Build credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs as primary point of contact; liaise with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs timely and scientifically.
- Field-based; expected to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved indications to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by articulating balanced clinical/scientific rationale; grow scientific expertise.
- Prepare/implement territory and account plans; use CE^3 insights to inform call plans and provide feedback.
- Ensure medical accuracy using approved resources/publications.
- Conduct in-office presentations; organize external speaker programs.
- Maintain expertise on emerging data; answer unsolicited questions via Medical on Call.
- Collaborate with other field teams and share insights internally.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience (healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse).
- Ability to communicate clinical/scientific data accurately.
- Demonstrated credibility-building and account management/selling skills; meet/exceed goals.
- Cross-functional effectiveness; can-do attitude.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
