Position Summary:
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) drives demand and adoption of BMS medicines by delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, building credibility with HCPs and regional thought leaders, and partnering with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs timely and scientifically. Field-based; spends much of time with external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote approved BMS indications to meet/exceed sales targets compliantly.
- Create balanced, clinically/scientifically grounded demand; build and maintain scientific expertise.
- Prepare and implement territory/account plans; use SOPHIA insights to optimize call plans and provide feedback to leadership.
- Present scientific information (e.g., lunch-and-learns) consistent with label; organize speaker programs.
- Maintain expertise on emerging approved-claim data; use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions.
- Proactively collaborate with other field teams; share insights internally.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse roles.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Proven credibility-building with key customers/office staff via customer-centric mindset.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and sales performance.
- Cross-functional effectiveness and positive, can-do attitude.
