Position Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field-based role providing impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs) to drive appropriate adoption of BMS medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved indications in a defined territory to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by articulating balanced clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Build and maintain high scientific expertise across assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement territory and account plans; use SOPHIA for insights and dynamic call planning.
- Present approved, label-consistent scientific information to HCPs; ensure medical accuracy.
- Conduct in-office presentations; organize speaker programs with Speakers Bureauβapproved speakers.
- Stay current on emerging data; respond to unsolicited questions via Medical on Call.
- Proactively collaborate with other field teams; gather/share insights internally.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Demonstrated credibility-building with customers and a customer-centric mindset.
- Experience in cardiovascular (preferred).
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and proven sales performance.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration; can-do attitude.
