Position Summary
- Field-based Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) driving demand for BMS medicines for appropriate patients within assigned territory/region through a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) and scientific dialogue consistent with label.
- Serves as primary point of contact for regional thought leaders (RTLs), physicians/HCPs in private practice/medical groups, office staff, and other stakeholders across the patient care continuum.
- Liaises with other BMS functions to deliver timely, scientific HCP support, prioritizing safe and appropriate use of BMS products while focusing on business results and performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory to meet/exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Create demand by articulating the clinical/scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Engage with and maintain/grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use tools (e.g., SOPHIA) to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Present approved scientific resources/publications accurately and with medical accuracy.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) consistent with label.
- Organize external speaker programs (select speakers from Speakers Bureau-approved list; facilitate scheduling/logistics).
- Maintain working expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Provide real-time medical support via Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gather and share relevant internal insights with appropriate stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
- Demonstrated credibility-building with customers/office staff; customer-centric mindset to create positive, differentiated Cx.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Account management skills, selling competencies, and proven track record meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong selling and promotional skills.

Driver Requirement (Company-provided vehicle)
- Qualified Driver requirements contingent on offer (e.g., at least 21 years of age; valid driverβs license in good standing; acceptable driving risk level).
