Senior Systems Engineer, Digital Lab Systems (LabVantage)

Role Summary

Senior Systems Engineer, Digital Lab Systems (LabVantage) responsible for leading LabVantage LIMS initiatives, aligning with the Digital LIMS Systems Director, and shaping the strategic vision for the Quality Control Digital roadmap within Moderna’s Digital Laboratory Systems organization. Focus on implementing new solutions and improving existing LabVantage systems with rapid pace.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior system expert for the LIMS solution (LabVantage)
• Propose, lead and deploy small and medium-size continuous improvement projects within the Lab Systems
• Participate and provide support for large cross functional projects
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and internal digital teams to design, develop and implement solutions with integration to MES, SAP, LIMS, and potentially eQMS
• Application support for LIMS as a level 2/3 SME, including version control, upgrades, patching and deployments, and system maintenance
• Help shape the strategy for an integrated digital lab systems landscape
• Participate in the delivery of projects and initiatives in a timely and qualitative manner
• Highlight potential risks and act proactively to resolve issues
• Participate in the demand management process to assist the business in establishing business cases relating to new systems or potential system changes

Qualifications

• Required: 8+ years of experience with LabVantage LIMS Development
• Required: Functional LIMS expert experience, preferably in LabVantage, with expertise in GxP environment and GMP focus
• Required: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred or equivalent training and relevant work experience
• Preferred: Working understanding of cGMP and manufacturing operations and practices
• Preferred: Understanding of computer systems validation practices (GAMP)
• Preferred: Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Preferred: Ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams
• Preferred: Experience in a matrixed environment
