Role Summary

Data & Digital Director, Site Operations at Takeda. Lead the site's digital roadmap, balancing operational support and strategic initiatives, with responsibilities in team development, technology integration, digital transformation, and ensuring compliance with GxP and cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership in Transformation: Act as a catalyst for change, driving impactful digital and operational advancements that propel the site forward and unlock new value.
  • Team Empowerment: Build and inspire a high-performing DD&T team, fostering a culture of innovation to achieve impactful outcomes.
  • Strategic Focus: Prioritize bold initiatives that address immediate operational needs while driving long-term transformation, aligning with site and global goals.
  • Visionary Roadmap: Develop and implement the site’s DD&T roadmap in alignment with global strategies.
  • DD&T Transformation: Lead the adoption of emerging technologies to modernize operations and enhance efficiency, driving transformative changes.
  • Operational Excellence: Redefine processes and promote continuous improvement using Lean principles to optimize productivity and quality.
  • Budget Management: Manage the department budget.
  • Project Execution: Ensure projects are executed within timelines and budget constraints.
  • Risk Management: Drive a risk management strategy that proactively addresses operational integrity, compliance, and cyber risk.
  • GxP Compliance: Ensure GxP compliance within the infrastructure environment. Support internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Technology Integration: Integrate new technologies into workflows.
  • Data Strategy: Implement data management and analytics frameworks.
  • Training and Development: Promote digital literacy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of systems experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing leadership.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in software applications and implementation, and network infrastructure and setups in a pharma plant or highly regulated industry.
    • Knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity, and IoT-enabled manufacturing.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in tools like Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
  • Digital Innovation: Advanced knowledge of AI/ML, automation, and predictive analytics. Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and pharma guidelines.
  • Leadership Attributes: A decisive leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of driving innovation and adapting to change. The ideal candidate fosters collaboration, motivates teams, and makes clear, informed decisions.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Work across two campuses located approximately 15 minutes apart by car; manufacturing environment requiring gowning in controlled areas
  • Occasional off-hours work to support 24/7 manufacturing and global collaboration
  • No makeup, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails in manufacturing environments
  • Occasional domestic and international travel (less than 5%)
