Position Summary
The Senior Strategic Solutions Manager leads the business solution and contracting strategy for an assigned area. This cross-functional role partners with multiple Caris departments to deliver high-level solutions and meaningful customer outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with decision makers in laboratory and hospital administration.
- Develop and present business and contracting strategies and proposals (consider ROI and ASP).
- Lead and facilitate meetings in-person or virtually.
- Negotiate complex contract terms and pricing for Hospital Systems, GPOs, and IDNs.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and statutory pricing regulations.
- Manage contract priorities from initiation through post-execution (optimize workflows and term adherence).
- Coordinate with legal on contracting redlines and terms.
- Collaborate with commercial teams on strategic, high-impact accounts.
- Drive LEADS/LAGS and lead area business-solution priorities/activities.
- Identify training and ongoing development opportunities for team and new hires.
- Ensure high-quality, customer-focused service delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in hospital administration and laboratory-related focus areas.
- Maintain strong document control, repository maintenance, and deliverable tracking.
- Monitor/analyze account metrics; address or delegate gaps.
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve/expand solutions.
- Meet/exceed team goals within management timelines.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities with leadership.
- Maintain core knowledge of offerings, competitive landscape, and administration issues.
- Maintain assigned company assets; submit required paperwork/reports/expenses.
- Perform ancillary projects as assigned.
- Maintain HIPAA and other compliance guidelines at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in business/management/life sciences or related field and/or 5+ years equivalent experience.
- Experience implementing business-solution initiatives, handling challenging situations, and problem solving.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Experience managing timelines/projects/documentation and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven matrix environment.
- Strong written/verbal communication.
- Ability to build/maintain trusted client and cross-functional relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce), reporting (Tableau), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong team lead and people management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterโs degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- Prior leadership/mentoring experience.
- Familiarity with hospital systems and pathology networks; existing relationships.
- Prior contracting negotiation experience.
