Position Summary
The Senior Strategic Solutions Manager leads the business solution and contracting strategy in an assigned area, managing account priorities and delivering solutions for complex/system accounts in a cross-functional setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with laboratory and hospital administration decision makers.
- Develop and present business and contracting strategies/proposals (considering ROI and ASP).
- Lead and facilitate meetings (in-person/virtual).
- Negotiate complex contract terms and pricing for Hospital Systems, GPOs, and IDNs.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and statutory pricing regulations.
- Manage contract priorities end-to-end (initiation through post-execution), optimizing workflows and term adherence.
- Coordinate with legal on contracting redlines and terms.
- Collaborate with commercial teams on complex/high-impact accounts.
- Drive LEADS/LAGS by leading priorities and activities for business solutions in the Area.
- Identify and support training and development for team and new hires.
- Ensure high-quality, customer-focused service delivery.
- Serve as subject matter expert in hospital administration and laboratory-related focus areas.
- Maintain document control, repository maintenance, and deliverable tracking.
- Monitor/analyze account metrics and address gaps.
- Initiate new ideas to expand/improve business solutions.
- Meet/exceed team goals within management timelines.
- Maintain communication with leadership on progress and opportunities.
- Maintain core knowledge of offerings, competition, and administration issues.
- Maintain assigned company assets; submit required reports/paperwork/expenses.
- Perform other related duties as assigned; maintain HIPAA and other compliance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree (business/management/life sciences or related) and/or 5+ years equivalent experience.
- Experience implementing business-solution initiatives; problem-solving.
- Critical thinking; timeline/project/documentation management.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong written/verbal communication; relationship-building.
- Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce), reporting (Tableau), and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent team leadership/people management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterโs degree (MBA/Healthcare Management or related).
- Leadership/mentoring experience.
- Familiarity with hospital systems and pathology networks.
- Established relationships in hospital/laboratory/pathology.
- Prior contracting negotiation experience.
