Role Summary

Senior Specialty Representative for Rheumatology in Knoxville, TN. Territory includes Knoxville, Chattanooga, Cleveland, Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport. Drive promotion of Amgen products, provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals, and implement marketing strategies under district leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
  • Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, implementing planned programs, coordinating medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve/refer reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle and reinforce the brand while serving patients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn to grow in the role
  • Leverage knowledge of disease state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver results

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
    • OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
    • OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
    • Hunter sales experience outside pharma
    • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
    • Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
