Role Summary

Senior Specialty Representative - Primary Care role in London, KY. Responsible for delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals, promoting products, and navigating the payer environment as directed by the District Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
  • Lead in territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customizing discussions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities, conduct territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative.
  • Demonstrate passion for products and sustain engagement throughout the sales cycle while upholding the brand and patient service focus.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative): Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related; OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1–3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience (pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred); product or hospital sales experience in relevant therapeutic areas; prior leadership training or demonstrated success under pressure; hunter’s mindset; strong communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills; passion for sales and patient outcomes; curiosity and learning agility; resilience and adaptability; entrepreneurial spirit; desire to build a long-term career in pharmaceutical sales; degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration; core competency adaptability; local market knowledge.
