Role Summary

Senior Specialty Representative - Inflammation/Rheumatology in Charlotte, NC. Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and implement marketing strategy under guidance of the District Manager to achieve territory sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
  • Lead to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, implementing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Maintain passion for the products and sustain engagement throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continually learn to grow in the role
  • Leverage knowledge of disease state awareness, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver results

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
    • Or Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
    • Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry product or hospital sales experience
    • Experience in rheumatology, inflammation, and related diseases and treatments
    • Hunter sales experience outside pharma
    • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
    • Core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
