Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
What You Will Do
- Act as primary customer contact and provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals.
- Help medical professionals navigate complex payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide current, comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, running planned programs, and scheduling/following up on medical educational programs (in-person and virtual), meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Develop relationships to service/manage accounts; customize discussions to customer needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices with colleagues; continuously learn and grow.
- Demonstrate product passion throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact forefront.
- Uphold Amgen values (science-based, ethical, quality, teamwork, accountability).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales and/or non-sales-related clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field, OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or non-sales-related clinical experience, OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or non-sales-related clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech/medical device (product or hospital sales) in specified specialties/therapeutic areas.
- Local market knowledge; established relationships in territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
