What You Will Do
In this role, you will connect with customers by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment. You will serve as the primary customer contact, implement marketing strategy, and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
- Lead sales activities to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, including customizing customer interactions, ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continue learning and growth
- Demonstrate passion for products throughout the entire sales cycle while building the brand and keeping patients at the center

What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related)
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related)
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related)
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than 3 years’ sales, marketing and/or clinical experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, medical device, or medical supply industries
- Product or hospital sales experience in relevant therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, infectious diseases) and related diseases/treatments
- Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills focused on sales outcomes
- Local market knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with core competencies (Sales Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships)

- Expected annual salary range (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico): $115,036–$155,638
