Role Summary

Senior Specialty Representative for Bone Health in Flushing, NY. Drives territory sales and promotes Amgen products by delivering clinical knowledge to medical professionals and navigating the payer environment. Serves as primary customer contact and implements marketing strategy under the guidance of the District Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
  • Lead sales efforts to achieve territory targets through branded messages, planned programs, and medical educational activities, using in-person and virtual engagement
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain contracts
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
  • Demonstrate passion for products and sustain engagement through the sales cycle, reinforcing the brand and patient-focused mission

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales or clinical healthcare/science experience, or
  • Associate degree and 6 years of sales or clinical healthcare/science experience, or
  • High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales or clinical healthcare/science experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales, marketing and/or clinical experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/diagnostics/healthcare industries
  • Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases
  • Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes
  • Local market knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
  • Adaptability with core sales competencies: planning, leveraging knowledge, communicating with impact, driving results, and cultivating relationships
