Main Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead security presence at all assigned meetings and events, projecting professionalism, courtesy, and authority.
- Manage and ensure compliance with Sanofi's Global Meeting & Events Policy and applicable Global Operating Procedures (GOP).
- Use the approved threat assessment web platform to assess meetings and events in North America (US and Canada).
- Perform security sweeps of meeting spaces and event venues before and after meetings.
- Coordinate access control to ensure only credentialed individuals participate before, during, and after events.
- Present daily security briefings regarding current risks and security protocols.
- Coordinate onsite security plans with the Meeting Management Team, Venue Security, and Law Enforcement as needed.
- Liaise with event planning agencies and hotel/venue security teams in advance of events and throughout the event lifecycle.
- Evaluate meeting agendas to determine security coverage duration and level.
- Determine security staffing levels and contract with local security providers as required.
- Train and manage contract security officers.
- Review venue types and make security and safety recommendations.
- Conduct thorough and discreet investigations of incidents.
- Document and maintain incident reports in Sanofi's case management system.
- Maintain required records (Meeting Assessment, Security Plan, Venue Floorplan/Grid, Meeting Agenda, Attendee List, Post-Meeting Report).

Executive Committee & VIP Security
- Provide executive services support for Executive Committee members and Highly Exposed Personnel (HEP).
- Coordinate with the Executive Services Team for seamless security coverage for Executive Committee/CEO attendance.
- Develop and implement security plans for transportation, accommodations, and emergency response.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the primary security liaison between Sanofi Security, business stakeholders, meeting managers, and external agencies.
- Proactively communicate with business units to gather information for risk assessments.
- Coordinate with venue security teams and local law enforcement to align plans and protocols.
- Provide clear, professional, and timely security guidance to organizers, attendees, and third parties.
- Enforce security rules with senior leaders, VIPs, and large groups; handle sensitive situations with diplomacy.
- Communicate security measures and protocols to relevant parties.

Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise the Meetings & Events Security Team.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight to contracted direct reports.
- Foster professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership and operational experience in private sector or government with meetings and event security, executive protection, or similar customer-facing security management.
- Demonstrated investigative success.
- Ability to assess progress against projects, financial targets, and policy implementations.
- Experience developing and executing security-related programs at the leadership level.
- Proven ability to lead change and collaborate in a high-performance culture.
- Superior communication skills; ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally (domestically and internationally).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle discreet responsibilities.
- Threat assessment experience.
- US passport with no prohibitions on travel to Canada.
- Ability to travel domestically/internationally (Canada) on short notice.
- Sound judgment and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and standard corporate software.

Preferred Qualifications
- Corporate security experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences.
- Minimum 3 years in meetings and event security (or similar).
- Experience managing security operations for large-scale offsite events (100+ attendees).
- Experience with executive-level personnel and VIP protection.
- Experience managing/directing contract security personnel.

- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, conduct venue sweeps, and respond quickly in emergencies.
