Role Summary

Senior SEC & Tech Accounting Analyst is a member of the Finance organization that directly supports corporate accounting and external financial reporting functions.

Responsibilities

  • Data gathering, analysis and benchmarking; provide technical expertise in accounting issues including leases, impairment, contingencies, revenue recognition, segment reporting, share-based compensation, fair value measurements, investments, debt, acquisitions, etc.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting; preparation of account reconciliations, account analysis, and journal entries.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements (Form 10-K and Form 10-Q) and related footnote disclosures.
  • Assist in budgeting, variance analyses (period over period and budget versus actual).
  • Perform contract reviews to identify accounting issues.
  • Prepare whitepapers documenting accounting analyses of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with business units in data gathering, resolve issues, and identify financial reporting and operating efficiency opportunities.
  • Perform accounting policy reviews and assist in policy implementation.
  • Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; CPA preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in public accounting and pharmaceutical, biotech, or high-tech companies.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP, auditing principles, COSO, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft 365 or equivalent ERP system, Workiva, and Adaptive.
  • Ability to extract data from ERP systems and work with large data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work under tight deadlines.
