Summary/Job Purpose
- Support Biotherapeutics discovery and preclinical development through recombinant antibody production and purification/characterization, delivering antibody leads for therapeutic candidates or ADCs.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to generate bispecific and multi-valent antibodies (cloning, protein expression) to assess platform feasibility.
- Produce high-quality antibodies/bispecifics/recombinant proteins for discovery and prioritization.
- Evaluate/select/manage/track external CROs for protein/antibody production needs.
- Assess protein structure/function for biologics developability and large-scale manufacturing.
- Follow health & safety policies and general laboratory practices.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- Bachelorโs (7+ years), or Masterโs (5+ years), or PhD (0 years) in molecular biology/biochemistry/biology/microbiology (or equivalent).
- Highly desirable: antibody discovery/engineering platforms.
- Experience with immunogens and screening reagents (soluble and/or cell-surface proteins), cell sorting/flow cytometry, mammalian cell culture/protein expression.
- Desirable: purification via chromatography; transient and stable expression technologies; writing summaries/reports/presenting data.
Skills (Required/Preferred)
- Solid understanding of mammalian protein/antibody expression, structure, and activity.
- Ability to design/execute studies, interpret data, and define next steps.
- Strong communication with external CROs; electronic lab notebook/workflow management plus; cell line development plus.
