Senior Regional Sales Manager, Eye Care – California

Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed corporate sales objectives for the Region within assigned geographies.
- Plan, direct, implement, and provide full oversight of Territory Manager policies and activities for the geographical region (California, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada).
- Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing Territory Managers.
- Assess regional developmental needs; provide individualized development and coaching guidance.
- Drive regional performance while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Provide consistent, proactive, individualized coaching to Territory Managers; counsel the sales team to overcome performance deficiencies.
- Demonstrate company culture norms through leadership style, actions, and collaboration.
- Foster a people-first, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, inclusiveness, and accountability.
- Manage and allocate resources within the Region; ensure execution and pull-through based on potential and growth opportunities.
- Ensure Sales & Marketing plans are implemented effectively and align with corporate goals and objectives.
- Work closely with Sales Leadership and HR to address performance gaps.
- Review regional data and dashboards to identify business opportunities and methods to obtain additional business.
- Build relationships with the Eye Care community; serve as an Ambassador and conduit to key customers and Senior Leadership.
- Understand the Eye Care marketplace and stay updated on regional business developments.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance policies; maintain integrity and professionalism.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 6–8 years of pharmaceutical/medical/related sales experience with technical knowledge, selling techniques, and medical terminology; Eye Care experience strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of management experience required (combination of experience/education considered).
- Must live within the geography of responsibility or within reasonable driving distance.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel extensively (including overnights, evenings, and weekends as needed).

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, applicable CRM, and similar databases.
- English proficiency in speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $164,000 – $246,000 (exact compensation may vary by skills, experience, and location).
