Summary/Job Purpose:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for regional oncology sales across multiple geographic territories, aligned with national and global commercial priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute regional sales strategies aligned to national/global objectives.
- Drive revenue, market share, and profitability goals across multiple territories.
- Anticipate regional trends, competitive threats, and healthcare policy shifts; provide actionable insights to executives.
- Build succession pipelines by mentoring Regional Sales Directors and Oncology Account Managers.
- Partner with marketing, medical affairs, market access, and operations to execute strategic initiatives.
- Oversee regional budgets, resource allocation, and investment decisions to maximize ROI.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence.
- Represent the region in national leadership forums for forecasting, portfolio strategy, and long-term planning.
- Ensure sales plan execution while balancing strategic and tactical needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise Oncology Account Managers; lead performance management.
- Oversee staffing, succession planning, and organizational design.
- Mentor and coach senior-level sales leaders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree related discipline + 15 years relevant experience; or Masterβs + 13 years; or equivalent.
- 8+ years proven oncology sales and/or marketing experience.
- Experience leading large, diverse teams and exceeding revenue targets.
- Brand strategy, market access, and payer engagement strongly preferred.
- Proven influence on executive decision-making and national strategy.
Skills:
- Strategic planning/forecasting/analytics; oncology and regulatory expertise.
- Strong communication, negotiation, executive presence; resilience with ambiguity.
- Financial acumen managing multimillion-dollar budgets; cross-functional partnership building.
Travel/Location:
- 60% domestic travel; candidate must be located near their region.
