Senior Director, Sales β Regional
Role Purpose
- Provides strategic leadership across multiple geographic territories, aligned with national/global oncology commercial priorities, driving sustainable revenue growth and competitive positioning.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute regional sales strategies aligned to national/global objectives.
- Achieve revenue, market share, and profitability goals across territories.
- Anticipate regional trends, competitive threats, and healthcare policy shifts; provide insights to executive leadership.
- Build succession pipelines by mentoring Regional Sales Directors and Oncology Account Managers.
- Partner with marketing, medical affairs, market access, and operations to deliver integrated initiatives.
- Oversee regional budgets, resource allocation, and investment decisions to maximize ROI.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards; uphold integrity and accountability.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence.
- Represent the region in national leadership forums (forecasting, portfolio strategy, long-term planning).
- Ensure execution of sales plans balancing strategic and tactical needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises Oncology Account Managers and provides performance management.
- Oversees staffing, succession planning, and organizational design.
- Mentors senior sales leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs (15 years) or Masterβs (13 years) in a related discipline; or equivalent.
- 8+ years proven oncology sales and/or marketing experience.
- Demonstrated success leading large teams and exceeding revenue targets.
- Brand strategy, market access, payer engagement strongly preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Strategic planning, forecasting, analytical skills; strong financial acumen.
- Deep oncology market/regulatory expertise; strong communication and negotiation.
- Ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and rapid change.
Work/Travel
- Candidate located close to their region; 60% domestic travel.
