Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities of this engineering grade level include and expand upon responsibilities for lower engineering grade levels.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Independently plan and conduct small- to medium-size assigned projects within engineering specialty, managing multiple concurrent projects, meeting deadlines, and achieving financial targets.
- Maintain project controls and reporting for cost, scope, and schedule; develop execution strategy including procurement; balance multiple demands.
- Produce unique and cost-effective results; establish alternate use possibilities and incorporate flexibility.
- Oversee design work of internal and external consultants; create/modify designs for intermediate problems.
- Integrate financial and technical data; analyze complex interdisciplinary problems, identify impact, establish probabilities, and draw conclusions aligned to broad business needs.
- Represent engineering on corporate task forces; identify customer/client needs and propose solutions; adjust products/services to better meet customer needs.
- Monitor improvement of other engineers; may evaluate assigned staff/project team members and identify development needs; may supervise other engineers or technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline is desired; or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with 3โ5 years of significant engineering and/or operational experience (pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred).
- Post-graduate education/degree is desired.
- Demonstrated competency within a discipline.
- Strong technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures; able to work complex-scope problems with multiple competing factors; uses judgment within defined procedures.
- Works effectively with diverse engineering teams and internal/external collaborators.
- Communicates clearly (orally, in writing, presentations) and considers othersโ perspectives.
- Collaborative, fast-paced, goal-driven environment experience.
- Interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences.
- Technical background in health care, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or similar industries (preferred).
- Demonstrated competency with financial systems and fiscal control.
