Brief Description
The Senior Principal Real-World Analyst (RWA) conducts analyses for Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies and analytic projects using Real-World Data (RWD) sources including administrative claims, electronic medical records (EMR), and registry data. Ensures timely completion and scientific rigor of research outputs.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Conduct and audit RWE analyses using multiple RWD sources
- Collaborate with the RWA lead to meet study and reporting timelines
- Use advanced statistical and epidemiological methods
- Clean and validate RWD and outputs for consistency and reliability
- Maintain documentation of analytical programming codes and operational definitions
- Develop reports, presentations, and dashboards
- Support design and enforcement of RWA standards to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Stay current with evolving RWA methodologies and visualization technologies
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- MS or PhD in data science, epidemiology, statistics, public health, or related field
- 4+ years (MS) or 2+ years (PhD) in biopharma, RWE consulting, or relevant healthcare industries
- Hands-on experience with Flatiron and Optum data (minimum 2 years)
- Expert proficiency in SQL and R; Python knowledge is an advantage
- Familiarity with US/global healthcare coding and delivery systems (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, MedDRA; payers/reimbursement models)
- Experience with time-to-event, cross-sectional, and longitudinal RWE statistical analyses
- Big data platforms (e.g., Snowflake); PowerBI knowledge is an advantage
- Strong execution rigor; collaborative, fast-paced team orientation

- MS or PhD in data science, epidemiology, statistics, public health, or related discipline
