Role Summary

Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist - Respiratory Specialty Care in Memphis, TN. You will play a pivotal role in applying scientific capabilities to positively impact patients' lives, focusing on respiratory diseases and related therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep product and disease state knowledge; educate and engage healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, indications, and product efficacy/safety to support on-label prescribing.
  • Operate with a high degree of sales proficiency to drive performance; meet or exceed forecasts and budgets.
  • Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information for the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Business Director and District Sales Manager to develop local strategy and business plans to increase territorial sales.
  • Leverage formulary approvals and other opportunities through Strategic Targeting Plans using promotional resources, personnel, and analytical tools to maximize territory effectiveness.
  • Provide education to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca's ethical guidelines; coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • At least two years of documented, full-time, successful pharmaceutical sales OR 3 years of sales experience in scientific/clinical/healthcare environment OR demonstrated experience/knowledge within healthcare ecosystems
    • A valid driver's license and safe driving record
    • For internal applicants: Required to have met PSS Level (Level 2) at time of application

Desired

  • Knowledge of medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry; clinical skills
  • Experience calling on Respiratory Specialists (e.g., Pulmonologists, Allergists)
  • Experience calling on health systems and large group practices
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capability
  • Result-oriented with time management skills
  • Ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information
  • Respiratory Sales experience
