US Pet Health Veterinary Sales Representative - Asheville, NC
Note: Field-based territory role; must reside in the territory.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet/exceed sales and business objectives, including product placement and key account growth (corporate and private).
- Build strong relationships with the full veterinary hospital team (veterinarians, practice managers, receptionists, kennel staff) through daily calls and trusted-advisor engagement.
- Launch new products; educate customers on the Elanco portfolio vs. competitors; use data analytics to identify and capitalize on territory opportunities.
- Provide guidance to distributor representatives; serve as a liaison with local veterinary medical associations and represent Elanco at key meetings.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent experience.
- 2+ years companion animal veterinary pharmaceutical sales experience, or equivalent fast-paced B2B selling experience.
- Team-first mindset with strong relationship-building and dedication to succeed.
- Valid driverβs license with acceptable driving record; legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to influence without authority; strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making in ambiguous situations.
- Proven territory sales planning/execution and results.
- In-depth companion animal market knowledge (Elanco and competitors).
- Advanced business degree (e.g., MBA).
Additional information:
- Travel 25β50% annually.
- US Remote; must reside in/relocate to the Asheville, NC territory.
