Essential Functions:
- Oversee day-to-day payroll operations; perform full end-to-end payroll cycle for weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for 2,400+ employees; process multi-state payroll; reconcile totals before and after each payroll run.
- Manage payroll workflow and exception processing; meet deadlines; coordinate payroll approvals and escalations; manage off-cycle payrolls (bonuses, equity payments, adjustments, manual checks); issue stop-payments and reissue checks as needed.
- Monitor payroll email inbox; serve as escalation point for complex requests/issues; collaborate with HR/Business Partners, Compensation Benefits, Finance, and other teams to resolve payroll issues.
- Build and maintain payroll reports using ADP and UKG and Excel; support workersโ compensation and other regulatory reporting; prepare payroll reports, assist with tax filings and year-end; provide UKG/time-processing support and training.
- Review and audit payroll work (timesheets/transactions); resolve complex issues; review reconciliations, variances, and employee changes.
- Support internal/external audits (including SOX controls/testing); provide documentation/certifications as needed; conduct pre-/post-payroll reviews; ensure compliance with payroll laws and internal controls.
- Participate in payroll/ADP/UKG system enhancements and process improvements; partner with Finance and HRIS on payroll initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Backup for other payroll staff.
- Backup for the Sr. Manager, Payroll.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Finance/Business/Accounting (or related) OR equivalent hands-on payroll experience.
- 5+ years of payroll experience; may guide others.
- Advanced knowledge of ADP (WFN) Work Force Now payroll processing.
- Advanced working knowledge of UKG (Kronos) timekeeping processing.
