Primary Responsibilities
- Design learning curricula to leverage portfolio synergies and position AbbVie brands for success.
- Lead curriculum development aligned to brand strategy; manage direct reports and coordinate with cross-functional and Area/Affiliate partners to deliver high-impact integrated learning interventions.
- Align with cross-functional leadership (Training, Medical/Clinical, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, other AbbVie groups, and vendors) to ensure collaboration and optimal planning.
- Set mutual expectations with business customers and partners; use strong negotiation tactics in an international multicultural environment.
- Translate Area/Affiliate needs into an international learning strategy; leverage core platforms/content to avoid duplication.
- Ensure direct, open communication and positive stakeholder relationships.
Strategy Roll-out
- Execute International Brand strategy through training/development deliverables.
- Integrate learning into business planning and Brand Teamsβ plans; link learning solutions to brand strategies.
- Seek innovative solutions to engage learners.
Learning Leadership
- Apply adult learning and instructional design principles.
- Ensure quality, compliance, and applicability of learning curriculum; develop team via formal/informal methods.
- Lead International Learning workstreams and foster an inclusive environment.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 5+ years learning & instructional design experience; 10β15 years combined learning, sales/marketing, or related cross-functional expertise.
- Experience leading teams directly or in interim capacity; strong leadership.
- Knowledge of regulations/standards affecting pharmaceutical products.
- Instructional Design/Education Technology/Education experience (or related).
- Exceptional facilitation/presentation; ability to work in fast-paced international environment.
- Experience managing learning curricula for multiple products/portfolio teams.
- Immunology experience preferred.
Additional Skills (preferred/required to perform)
- Success in matrix environments; consensus building across field and marketing.
- Learning agility; ability to incorporate business/brand trends into learning plans.
- Strong written/verbal stakeholder communication; exceptional planning/organization.
