Senior Oncology Specialist
What You Will Do
- Act as the primary customer liaison, providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
- Communicate clinical and economic benefits of products to medical professionals.
- Achieve territory sales by:
- Creating and executing a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages, planned programs, scheduling/follow-up for medical educational programs, achieving/exceeding sales targets).
- Servicing/managing accounts using internal and external relationships (ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, maintain product contracts).
- Crafting and executing marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyzing business effectiveness and territory analysis; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustaining product/patient passion throughout the sales cycle while building the brand.
- Partnering with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Leveraging oncology/disease-state awareness plus industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
- Bachelorโs degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related)
OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related)
OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Oncology and/or Hematology
- 3+ years sales/marketing experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare/medical devices
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology and related specialties; local market knowledge
- Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Core competency adaptability: planning/organizing; business/industry/technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal/external relationships
