Senior Oncology Specialist (Territory covers: all of Kansas and western Missouri)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison to medical professionals; provide current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products.
- Communicate clinical and economic benefits of products to medical professionals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages, planned programs, scheduling/follow-up on medical educational programs, achieve/exceed sales targets).
- Service and manage accounts (ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, maintain product contracts).
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive sales.
- Analyze business effectiveness/territory analysis and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustain product passion through the full sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients.
- Share best practices and continuously learn; leverage oncology and disease-state awareness, plus industry/regulatory/competitive changes, to deliver results.
Qualifications (required):
- Bachelorโs degree + 3 years sales experience and/or clinical experience in a non-sales healthcare/scientific field; OR
- Associate degree + 6 years; OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years.
Preferred:
- Oncology experience; 3+ years sales/marketing in pharma/biotech/healthcare/medical devices.
- Product or hospital sales in oncology (and related specialties).
- Local market knowledge; Bachelorโs in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability to core competencies.
