Senior Oncology Specialist
What You Will Do
- Liaison to customers; provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals.
- Act as primary customer contact; provide current/comprehensive clinical knowledge and communicate clinical and economic benefits.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages, planned programs, scheduling/follow-up with medical educational programs, achieve/exceed sales targets).
- Service and manage accounts (ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, maintain product contracts).
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze business effectiveness and territory analysis; develop territory plans with District Manager.
- Sustain passion for products through entire sales cycle; build brand and focus on serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Leverage oncology/disease-state awareness and industry/regulatory/competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
- Bachelorโs degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Oncology.
- 3+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare/medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology and related specialties (e.g., nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation; neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with core competencies: Planning/Organizing; leveraging business/industry/technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal/external relationships.

- Expected annual salary range (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico): $158,727โ$177,179 (actual varies by skills/experience/qualifications).
