Senior Oncology Specialist

What You Will Do
- Act as primary customer contact, providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
- Communicate clinical and economic benefits of products.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and achieving/exceeding sales targets.
- Service and manage accounts (ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, maintain product contracts).
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze sales activity and territory analysis; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustain passion through the sales cycle, build brand, and focus on serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Leverage oncology and disease-state awareness plus industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.

What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or non-sales-related clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field, OR
- Associate degree + 6 years sales and/or non-sales-related clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field, OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales and/or non-sales-related clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field.

Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred oncology experience.
- 3+ years sales and/or marketing experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare/medical devices.
- Product/hospital sales in oncology and/or nephrology/dermatology/rheumatology/inflammation; and/or neurology/endocrinology/hepatology/gastroenterology/infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with: Planning & Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal/External Relationships.

- Expected base salary range: $140,465–$190,041 (U.S., excl. Puerto Rico).
