Role Summary

The Senior Oncology Sales Specialist drives adoption and utilization of Puma’s first commercial oncology product within a defined North Texas territory, achieving sales goals by promoting and supporting the product to health care professionals and other key stakeholders. This role requires deep understanding of oncology accounts, strategic planning, and effective cross-functional collaboration in a small, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes robust territory business plans
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals, brand KPIs, and objectives
  • Develops and manages long-term relationships with physicians, nurses, office managers, and other stakeholders
  • Conducts discussions with key physicians and healthcare professionals to support the approved product indication
  • Utilizes approved resources and messages to meet goals
  • Interacts with stakeholders, explaining product features and benefits using persuasive sales techniques
  • Collaborates with cross-functional partners (clinical nurse educators, marketers, account managers, MSLs)
  • Plans and organizes promotional speaker programs in territory with Speakers Bureau vendor
  • Communicates competitive market intelligence to brand teams and management
  • Monitors operating costs and ensures activities align with company policies

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology; oncology and/or rare disease experience; proven track record; ability to drive results in a competitive market
  • Preferred: Launch experience in promotion of breast cancer or rare disease products; Market Access or Reimbursement experience

  • Travel: Local travel required; up to 30% travel may be required
  • Position requires use of a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided; motor vehicle record may be checked
