The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) promotes Pfizer’s oncology product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists; educates the healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products; calls on accounts and organized customers to improve patients’ experience and overall quality of care; and increases Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by assessing account/business landscape and leveraging Pfizer products and resources.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS (accredited) OR associate’s degree with 8+ years experience OR high school diploma/equivalent with 10+ years relevant experience
- Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary
- Valid US driver’s license; no DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation in past 7 years
- Minimum 4 years pharmaceutical sales OR 4 years oncology HCP experience working with key oncology thought leaders/high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care
- Track record of success; ability to communicate technical/scientific product and disease management information
- Business acumen
- Proficiency using complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer’s technology model
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years oncology sales; prostate cancer therapeutic area experience
- Master’s or advanced HCP degree; experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and KOLs
Functional/Technical Skills
- Promote broad portfolio; understand disease states/therapeutic areas; generate demand; strategic territory/account planning
- Maintain institutional relationships; cultivate KOL relationships; assess needs and provide appropriate resources; selling/communication/leadership; quickly learn new ways of working; work in a matrix environment.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Base salary range: $108,600–$250,700; sales incentive bonus; overtime during initial training; comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with matching and retirement contribution, paid time off, leave, and medical/dental/vision.
