Role: Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS)
Responsibilities:
- Promote Pfizer’s product portfolio to health care providers and specialists.
- Educate healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products.
- Call on accounts and organized customers to improve patients’ experience and the overall quality of patient care.
- Increase Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by linking an insightful assessment of the account/business landscape with knowledge of Pfizer products and resources.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution OR associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
- Valid US driver’s license; must comply with company driving standards (DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years disqualifies).
- Minimum 4 years pharmaceutical sales experience OR 4 years oncology HCP experience with key oncology thought leaders/high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care.
- Demonstrated track record of success with prior pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience.
- Aptitude for learning and communicating technical/scientific product and disease-management information.
- Demonstrated business acumen.
- Proficiency using complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer’s technology model.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years oncology sales experience; experience in Lung Cancer therapeutic area.
- Master’s degree; advanced HCP degree.
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.
Skills (functional/technical):
- Promote broad product portfolio; strong disease/therapeutic area/product knowledge.
- Generate demand; strategic account selling/territory planning.
- Maintain and develop institutional and KOL relationships; assess needs and address with appropriate resources.
- Superior selling/technical/relationship skills; ability to engage, influence, and support through the selling process.
- Ability to learn quickly, work in a matrix environment, and leverage multiple resources.
